Pàtera, a word that in ancient times meant a bowl-shaped or shallow cup, is the name of a new stoneware collection designed by Federico de Majo, made and hand-painted in Italy.
It consists of four items: three bowls - small, medium and large – which are extremely versatile, ideal for serving snacks and aperitifs, traditional or fusion soups, as well as salads, fruit salads or ice cream; and a rice serving dish, which can also be used to individually serve a main course – such as a fish soup with croutons or a boiled meat dish.
All models have a linear outline and balanced proportions. The thickness of the stoneware maintains the food temperature for longer.
Their new, intense colour is the protagonist of this collection; the six shades chosen are inspired by the Mediterranean landscape: warm pink and beige, dark French blue, brown and ochre yellow, which recall the hues of the earth, and British racing green. The bowls are available in two decorated versions: entirely painted in solid colour or with a white inside featuring a small circular decoration on the bottom in the same colour as the external decoration. The rice serving dish is only available in the blue and brown solid-colour versions.
Pàtera, a product with international appeal, combines simple shapes with a minimalist decoration. The version with the circular decoration recalls a decorative element already featured in other Zafferano tableware collections - such as Bilia, Petoni and Party - allowing for countless mix and match combinations.
Pàtera is dishwasher-safe and microwave-resistant stoneware. Any apparent imperfections are the result of decorations done by hand, and therefore always different, distinctive features which attest to the quality and exclusivity of the object.
