Amanda, Mariana, Carol, and Fernanda Cassou are the four Brazilian sisters who brought Gallerist to life—a brand where fashion meets lifestyle, blending their own label’s creations with a refined curation of contemporary Brazilian fashion talents.
Are you entrepreneurs, fashion curators, influencers? How do you define yourselves?
We are four sisters, born in Curitiba, and currently split between Londrina, our hometown, and São Paulo, the heart of everything! But it’s hard to pick just one label when we do a little bit of everything, right? Fashion curation is at the heart of our brand, Gallerist, but we also run a business, create, select, and share everything that inspires us in fashion and life, always with a creative outlook on what makes sense in the present moment. Above all, we strive to live authentically and turn that authenticity into inspiration for others.
Did you always know you wanted to work together?
We didn’t always imagine that our paths would cross professionally, but looking back, it all makes perfect sense. We grew up in an environment where creativity was always encouraged, which brought us even closer. Fashion, like art and architecture, has always been present in our lives, even though each of us has our own personality and style. But in the end, we always say that this diversity is our greatest strength. Everything falls into place, things move forward, and there we go again—whether tackling a new challenge at Gallerist or gathering for a family Sunday lunch.
Has aesthetics always been a part of your lives?
Yes, we have always been deeply connected to art, design, décor, fashion, and trends. Since childhood, we have been surrounded by references that helped shape our eye and aesthetic sense. In our playroom, there were four wardrobe doors filled with vintage clothing and accessories from our mother and grandmother. We would dress up in those pieces, put on fashion shows, stage performances, and even set up little shops.
Our mother was a great mentor, teaching us to see aesthetics in everything. Many of our childhood clothes were designed by her, coaching us from choosing fabrics to organizing a space with beauty and purpose.
What inspires you daily?
Everything can be a source of inspiration—spending time with family, a day at work, reading a book, traveling, an unexpected conversation, or a gathering in the kitchen. We draw a lot of inspiration from Brazil—its diversity, colors, and forms—but we also love exploring the new. Curiosity is what drives us, and staying open to new experiences is part of our way of living.
What does living with joy mean to you?
Living with joy means working on what we love, being surrounded by family and friends, discovering new places, and finding balance between work and pleasure. It’s about enjoying the little moments and seeing beauty in everyday life. It’s traveling and getting lost in new cultures, immersing ourselves in colors and textures, finding comfort at home, and laughing for no apparent reason. We believe happiness lies in how we choose to see the world and in the connections we cultivate along the way.
How does fashion fit into Joyful Living for you?
For us, fashion is naturally part of Joyful Living. Fashion is undoubtedly a powerful form of self-expression. We believe that, like other forms of art, it is an extension of our lifestyle. It is present in our daily lives, inspiring us and allowing us to express who we are in an authentic and creative way. Fashion is not just about dressing—it is about celebrating beauty and the pleasure of feeling good in your own skin. Every piece we select for our curations and brands reflects this perspective: the joy of living with style and elegance, always with a touch of brazilian charm and sophistication.
