There is a ritual that tells the story of the Italian summer better than any postcard: cards on the table, the sea just steps away, time flowing a little more slowly. Marie Claire Italia brought it back to the heart of the season with “Incanto d’estate: Summer Games”, an afternoon dedicated to burraco that brought Bagno Piero in Forte dei Marmi to life, a place as emblematic of Versilia as its striped beach cabins.
Zafferano joined the event as technical partner, alongside Marie Claire and OKKIA: on the card tables, Poldina Micro lamps with hand-decorated ceramic covers accompanied the guests throughout the afternoon, lighting up as the afternoon gave way to dusk. Beside them, the tumblers, stemware and bottles of the Bilia collection — which, in a way, come full circle. Bilia was in fact born from a childhood memory of designer Federico de Majo: days spent on the beach at the Lido di Venezia playing with colourful glass marbles, evoked in the detail that distinguishes every piece of the collection — and that finds its natural setting once again by the sea.
Different generations and sensibilities gathered around the same table, changing partners, conversations lasting longer than expected: the “details curated by Zafferano”, as Marie Claire described them in its account of the event, helped create an atmosphere of authentic conviviality. Precisely the kind of joyful moments our products are designed for.
