“Elevators”: an installation in Via Solferino in Milan.

From April 17 to 23, 2023, during the Milan Design Week, Zafferano collaborates on the installation “Elevators“, conceived by the design studio Migliore+Servetto for the Corriere della Sera headquarters.
Between installations and guided tours, a journey through time recounts the evolution of objects, spaces and ways of our living with a multisensory and immersive approach. While a dynamic installation celebrates the history of the newspaper on the façade of the historic building on Via Solferino, in the inner courtyard (open to the public for the first time) two scenic towers soar to take the guests to an immersive multimedia and sensory journey, “to discover the relationship between time, environments and objects that surround us.” All around, a large lounge also set up with 36 Poldina XXL floor lamps (https://www.zafferanoeshop.it/it/poldina/1711-lampada-da-terratavolo-poldina-pro-xxl-corten.html) and 9 Pencils in the floor-standing configuration (https://www.zafferanoeshop.it/it/lampade-ricaricabili-pencil/2001-146-pencil-kit-lampada-da-terra.html#/55-colore-pencil_kit_corten). In addition, a Pencil is displayed together with a new, futuristic Hyundai car model to describe the “vehicle to load” function, which allows stored energy to be used to power external devices, such as electric camping equipment, power tools and other devices.
