“Libiamo ne’ lieti calici”: a three-year partnership with the Teatro La Fenice

Zafferano has signed a three-year partnership with the Fondazione Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, as a Supporting Member.
“Libiamo ne’ lieti calici” (Let’s drink from this chalice of joy): the idea for a customised wine glass to accompany this famous phrease came from the well-known scene in the first act of the opera La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi. La Traviata, which made its debut at the Teatro La Fenice and was a huge flop, has now become a steadfast cornerstone of the repertoire of the Teatro La Fenice.
Thus the partnership begins with the famous Venetian institution, which foresees a host of communication activities and the supply of Esperienze wine glasses, customised with the Teatro La Fenice logo.
“Aside from the important partnership with one of the major cultural institutions in the music world, the decision by Zafferano to support the Fondazione Teatro La Fenice – remarks Federico de Majo – arose from my family’s Venetian roots.  Venice, with its glassmaking tradition and culture, is where I grew up.  My interest in the artistic and cultural values of the city I was born in has enabled me to embrace a bond of an international nature.”
